Overview of Role:
The Data Analyst (Journeyman) is responsible for collecting, processing, and reporting on network performance data to support Department of Defense installation network baseline assessments and operations. This role establishes key network metrics, extracts and processes information from enterprise network management platforms, manages data feeds for reporting, produces performance reports, compiles and analyzes site survey data, supports capacity planning through trend analysis, and provides essential data inputs for program performance reporting
Roles and Responsibilities:
Collects, processes, and reports on network performance data to support DoD installation network baseline assessments and ongoing operations. Establishes network baseline metrics including throughput, error rates, latency, and packet loss; extracts and processes data from enterprise NMS platforms including SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, Juniper JSpace, and NetScout nPoints; manages JSON and CSV data feeds for government network management system reporting; produces SLA performance reports; compiles and analyzes site survey data; supports network capacity planning through trend analysis; and provides data inputs to program performance reporting.
Educational and Certification Requirement:
3 to 10 years’ experience and a B.A./B.S.
Data analysis tools (Python/SQL); NMS data experience; JSON/CSV processing; network performance metrics
