Overview of Role: 

The Documentation & Configuration Manager (Journeyman) manages the integrated documentation and configuration management program for a multi-site Department of Defense network modernization and operations contract. This role acts as the single point of accountability for all contractual deliverables and configuration baselines, develops and maintains the Configuration Management Plan in compliance with relevant policies, and establishes and operates a Configuration Management Database for all managed network infrastructure. Additional responsibilities include chairing Change Control Board activities, ensuring full traceability of configuration changes, producing required contractual deliverables, developing network design documents and reports, supporting authorization package narrative development, and overseeing document version control and submission scheduling throughout all phases of performance. 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

Manages the integrated documentation and configuration management program for a multi-site DoD network modernization and operations contract, serving as the single point of accountability for all contractual deliverables and configuration baselines. Develops and maintains the Configuration Management Plan in compliance with DoD and Air Force policies; establishes and operates a Configuration Management Database covering all managed network infrastructure; chairs Change Control Board activities and maintains full configuration change traceability; produces all contract CDRL deliverables to applicable Data Item Description standards; develops network design packages, IP/VLAN plans, SOPs, qualification test reports, and site survey reports; supports ATO package narrative development; and manages document version control, submission scheduling, and government review cycle coordination across all performance phases. 

Educational and Certification Requirement:  

3 to 10 years’ experience and a B.A./B.S 

ICCM or ITIL CM certification; DoD configuration management experience; CMDB tools proficiency 

Must have an Active Secret Clearance
