JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing the entire contract lifecycle, from negotiation and execution to compliance and closeout. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of contract law, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to support business objectives.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee the drafting, negotiation, and management of contracts with clients, vendors, and partners.
• Ensure all contracts comply with legal requirements, industry regulations, and company policies.
• Collaborate with legal, finance, and business development teams to align contract terms with business goals.
• Monitor contract performance and compliance, addressing any issues or discrepancies promptly.
• Develop and implement contract management processes and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide guidance and training to internal teams on contract-related matters.
• Support business development efforts by reviewing and providing input on proposals and bid documents.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records and documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Must have experience with subcontract agreements to include development, review, and management of subcontract agreements.
• At least five years of experience with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field; advanced degree or certification (e.g., CPCM, CFCM) preferred.
• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of contract law and negotiation.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in government contracting and familiarity with FAR/DFARS is a plus.
