Overview of Role:
The Lead Network Engineer (Senior) serves as the senior technical lead, overseeing the design, testing, and integration of complex network solutions across multiple Department of Defense installations. This role leads network integration lab testing and equipment qualification, directs routing and switching design, and develops configurations for protocols such as OSPF, BGP, VLAN, QoS, and NAC services. Additional responsibilities include executing qualification testing, producing technical network diagrams, mentoring junior and mid-level engineers, and coordinating technical integration efforts across all network infrastructure domains.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Serves as the senior technical network engineering lead, driving the design, testing, and integration of complex network solutions across multiple DoD installations. Leads network integration lab testing and equipment qualification; directs TCP/IP routing and switching design including OSPF, BGP, VLAN, QoS, and link aggregation; designs and validates TACACS+, RADIUS, NTP, DNS, DHCP, and NAC configurations; leads qualification testing execution and formal documentation; produces DoDAF SV-1/SV-2 network diagrams; mentors junior and mid-level engineers; and coordinates technical integration across all network infrastructure domains.
Educational and Certification Requirement:
Over 10 years’ experience and a M.A./MS degree.
CCIE or CCNP; TCP/IP, switching, routing, NMS, NAC, QoS, ISP/OSP expertise; DCWF-aligned certs
Must have an Active Secret Clearance
