Overview of Role:
The Licensed Electrician (Journeyman) performs licensed electrical work in support of Department of Defense network infrastructure modernization projects. This role involves installing power systems for data centers, IDFs, MDFs, and outdoor equipment pads; handling electrical wiring, conduit, circuits, and power distribution systems; and installing uninterruptible power supplies and power distribution units. Key responsibilities include performing grounding and bonding in alignment with relevant standards, coordinating electrical work orders with facility management, ensuring full compliance with applicable codes, and supporting installation sequencing in coordination with network installation teams.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Performs licensed electrical work in support of DoD network infrastructure modernization, including power system installation for data centers, intermediate distribution frames (IDFs), main distribution frames (MDFs), and outdoor equipment pads. Installs electrical wiring, conduit, circuits, and power distribution systems; installs uninterruptible power supplies and power distribution units; performs grounding and bonding in accordance with TIA-607 and NEC standards; coordinates electrical work orders with base facility management; ensures compliance with NEC and applicable Air Force and DoD electrical codes; and supports installation sequencing in coordination with network installation teams.
Educational and Certification Requirement:
3 to 10 years’ experience and a B.A./B.S.
State/local journeyman or master electrician license required; DAF base work experience preferred
Must have an Active Secret Clearance
